Finding Your Router's IP Address

networks, please click here
If you have a single network connected
to your router, each station's 'default gateway' setting will specify the router's IP address. On Windows 95/98, this can
be found by running 'winipcfg' from a DOS prompt. The default gateway for a Windows NT machine can be established by running
'ipconfig /all' from the Command Prompt.
Customers with dual ethernet port routers
(i.e. two networks are connected to two ethernet ports on the same router) should establish the default gateway for the
network which is connected to the lowest numbered ethernet port. This is ethernet0 on a Cisco 1605 router.
